UWSP’s Prestigiacomo takes top spot at Whitewater Spring Fling Golf

DELEVAN, Wis. – McKenna Prestiiacomo fired a two-day 156 to pace the field of over 50 golfers Friday and Saturday at the 2014 UW-Whitewater Spring Fling Golf Tournament held at the Delbrook Golf Course.

Prestigiacomo fired an opening-round 77 to take the early lead after day one. Her 79 on day two was enough to keep her two strokes in front of runner-up finisher McKnenzie Paul of Oshkosh.

Hope College secured the team crown, shooting a two-day 677.

Tiffany Boak (Woodridge, IL/Downers Grove South ) finished tied for ninth while Natalie Halverson (Hermantown, MN/Hermantown) was 45th. Ashley Nickel (Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) shot an opening round 88 but withdrew on the tournament’s second day.
