Pointer women hockey team falls to St. Norbert in regular season finale
DE PERE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women’s hockey team couldn’t hold on to an early 1-0 lead as it fell to the Green Knights of St. Norbert College Saturday afternoon, 3-1.

Janel Winters (Fairbanks, AK/West Valley) tallied her second goal of the season midway through the first period to give the Pointers an early 1-0 lead.
Two minutes into the second period the Green Knights knotted the game at 1-1 as Lauren Roethlisberger recorded a powerplay goal. Just over a minute later, St. Norbert struck again to take the 2-1 lead.
The Green Knights added another goal in the third period to secure the 3-1 win and a weekend sweep.
Janna Beilke-Skoug (Madison WI/East) recorded 31 saves in net for the Pointers. Kaley Gibson recorded the win as she tallied 51.
The Pointers close out the regular season at 11-11-3, 9-8-3 NCHA. UWSP will begin NCHA Tournament play next weekend.
