Pointer baseball standout Ryan Schilter named preseason All-American
Stevens Point, Wis. – Junior catcher Ryan Schilter (West Bend, WI/West) has been named to the D3baseball.com preseason All-American team and is the only Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference player to be named to the first team.

Schilter earned First Team All-WIAC honors in 2012 after leading the Pointers in hitting (.370), doubles (19), runs batted in (36), total bases (86), stolen bases (22), and slugging percentage (.531).
Schilter’s 19 doubles and 22 stolen bases were tops in the WIAC.
UWSP opens its season on March 10 when it plays Gustavus Adolphus in the Minneapolis Metrodome.
The Pointers’ first home game is March 30 when they host St. Norbert.
