Packers lose executive Dorsey to Chiefs
Green Bay Packers executive John Dorsey is the new General Manager of the
Kansas City Chiefs. Dorsey played linebacker for the Packers between 1984
and 1989, and joined the Packers’ front office as a college scout in 1991.
He has also served as director of college scouting, and was named Green
Bay’s director of football operations last year. Dorsey worked with new
Chiefs coach Andy Reid when Reid was a Green Bay assistant in the late
1990’s, and also interviewed for the vacant General Manager job with the New
York Jets. The Jets apparently are also interested in Packers finance vice-
president Russ Ball.
