HS basketball: Prentice girls top Tomahawk while Rosholt boys fall to Suring on Monday
The Prentice girls’ basketball team took charge early and beat Tomahawk 48-36 on Monday night. The Buccaneers led 11-4 after one quarter and 25-8 at halftime. Sydney Wilund had 15 points while Sheila Uhren added 12 for Prentice. Samantha White led Tomahawk with 9 points while Jessie Harmon had 8 for the Hatchets.
In boys’ hoops it was Rosholt falling to Suring 62-40. Suring, ranked #4 in the state in Division 5, led 33-17 at halftime. Josh Studinski had 12 points for Rosholt while Jay Tienor had 16 points for the Eagles.
