Wild Card Playoffs - Green Bay Packers v Philadelphia Eagles

Running back James Starks may return to the Green Bay Packers later this
season. Starks has a deep bone bruise inside his knee, suffered last Sunday
against Minnesota. The injury did not damage any of Starks’ ligaments, but
is serious enough that the Packers considered placing Starks on their
injured reserve list, which would sideline him for the season. Now, coach
Mike McCarthy says Starks will be out for an undetermined number of weeks,
but could return later this season. To replace Starks in the backfield, the
Packers are signing former Green Bay running back Ryan Grant, who played in
one game for Washington earlier this season. Alex Green is expected to
start at running back against Detroit Sunday night.
