There are already several candidates for the football coaching vacancy at
Wisconsin. Among those under consideration are Western Kentucky coach
Willie Taggart, Jacksonville Jaguars defensive coordinator Mel Tucker, who
played at Wisconsin, Miami coach Al Golden and Boise State coach Chris
Peterson. Former Badger offensive coordinator Paul Chryst, who is now the
head coach at Pittsburgh, will not take the Badger job. Chryst just
finished his first season at Pittsburgh and Wisconsin Athletic Director
Barry Alvarez says he would not feel right about hiring Chryst away at this
time. Chryst also says he want to make a commitment to the Pitt program.
