Amherst wins WIAA football title
Despite playing without injured quarterback Chris Zblewski, the Amherst High School football team wins their first WIAA state championship by beating Lancaster 19-7 in the Division 5 title game. Caleb Glennon stepped in at QB and threw for 129 yards and two touchdowns while also intercepting a pass on defense. The Falcons complete a perfect 13-0 season.
