La Crosse started the scoring early as Saskia Taylor put the Eagles up 1-0 less than seven minutes into the game.
Senior Kelsey Majerus (Cottage Grove, MN/Park) knotted the game at 1-1 as she scored a controversial goal 17 minutes in.
Both teams remained scoreless the rest of regulation, sending the game into overtime.
